and control policies and procedures
In today's environment, Infection control is incredibly important for any business with a duty of care for its employees, contractors and customers. ATS offers 3-course variants to suit different industries.
This course will provide you with a set of skills to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in organisations operating in the retail industry, Transport & Logistics or Food Handling.
- Follow standard and additional precautions for infection prevention and control
- Identify infection hazards and assess risks
- Follow procedures for managing risks associated with specific hazards

Eligibility Criteria
Training is available for new staff who meet the eligibility criteria and existing staff who are at risk of unemployment
and require retraining in order to secure ongoing employment.
If an employer is interested in recruiting new people for their workforce or wanting to upskill their existing workforce
they may be eligible for fee-free training through NSW JobTrainer/Skilling for Recovery.
People undertaking training must meet the Smart and Skilled eligibility criteria and fit into at least
one of the categories below:
- A young person aged 16-24 at the commencement of training, regardless of employment status, including Year 12 school leavers
- Commonwealth Government welfare benefit recipients
- An unemployed person
- If you’re unable to work due to public health orders or on JobSaver, and therefore at risk of unemployment, then you are eligible.
- An employed person who is expected to become unemployed (e.g. companies in declining industries, people whose employment is conditional on immediately undertaking work relevant training, workers who have been stood down or furloughed).
- Living in NSW or working in NSW
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or humanitarian visa holder
- No longer at school.

As a guide, people completing this course will have access to a PC, laptop of other internet connected device, Microsoft Word (or compatible software) and a functional webcam for recording audio/video.
Assessments
Successful completion of a range of mandatory assessments is required, in order to be issued your certification documentation.
Assessments for these courses will include a combination of:
- Knowledge/theory-based written short-answer questions
- Role plays
- Case-studies / scenarios
- Projects
- Group and solo practical activities
