BlueCard Training Course

 

The Transport & Logistics industry BlueCard is a minimum entry level credential for work in Australia's Transport and Logistics industry. This work health and safety (WHS) training course is focused on promoting awareness and understanding around basic workplace safety and procedures.

Over 70,000 transport and logistics workers around Australia hold a BlueCard.

This training course is endorsed by TEACHO LTD – Transport Education Audit Compliance Health Organisation and is designed for any transport and logistics worker in NSW. Successful completion of the BlueCard coursecan also lead to career development opportunities if participants chose to continue and complete the full TLI qualification.

People who successfully complete the BlueCard training course and are issued a National BlueCard are recorded on a national BlueCard database.

The BlueCard training course is based on the nationally recognised unit of competence: TLIF0025 - Follow work health and safety procedures and satisfies Workcover requirements for WHS induction training.

Course fees:

Online - $249 per person
Face-to-face at Smithfield or Wollongong NSW - $299 per person (minimum class size of 5 participants)
Face-to-face onsite at your workplace - Please call

Fees include the issuance of the physical BlueCard, training materials, and workbook.

To participate in the online BlueCard course you will need a computer with internet access, MS Word, a web browser such as Edge or Chrome, a functional webcam and a printer.

Students who successfully complete the course will be issued a Statement of Attainment to certify that they have demonstrated competence in the unit TLIF0025 Follow work health and safety procedures. They will also receive a letter from ATS confirming their physical BlueCard will be issued.

Please allow up to 28 days to receive your physical BlueCard.

BlueCards are valid for five (5) years from the month of issue.

Course Entry Requirements

We strive to ensure that our students enrol into the course that best meets their needs, and that they have the best chance of a successful outcome. The entry requirements indicated here are intended to inform you of the minimum expectations required of you, as part of completing this course.

As a guide, people completing this course:

  • have completed Year 10 or equivalent

OR

  • a qualification at a Certificate II level or higher

OR

  • at least 2 years of relevant industry experience


You will also need to be at least 18 years at the time of commencement.

It is also expected that you will have access to a PC, laptop or other internet connected device, Microsoft Word (or compatible software) and a functional webcam for recording audio/video.

Assessments

Successful completion of a range of mandatory assessments is required, in order to be issued your certification documentation.

Assessments for these courses will include a combination of:

  • Knowledge/theory-based written short-answer questions
  • Role plays
  • Case-studies / scenarios
  • Projects
  • Group and solo practical activities
