Course Summary
Under the Heavy Vehicle National Laws (HVNL), it is an office to drive a heavy vehicle on a road when the vehicle or its load does not comply with the loading requirements that apply to that vehicle.
Importantly, parties in the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) have a duty to eliminate or minimise risks associated with the transport activities they influence or control, so far as is reasonably practicable. The risks that unrestrained loads present to other road users are well known.
These ATS Load Restraint courses cover the knowledge and skills needed aspects for the safe handling and moving of cargo. This includes load restraint techniques and systems, along with safety compliance considerations around handling various types of cargo. You will also learn about load characteristics, and techniques for packing and lifting techniques.
This course is National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) compliant and is nationally recognised.
